Things to be Happy About

1.  Breakfast will still be tasty tomorrow.

2.  Carl Crawford will probably still win us a free taco.

3.  We don't have to listen to stupid cowbells anymore.

4.  We don't have to look at Craig Sager's ugly outfits anymore.

5.  We don't have to watch anymore FrankTV commercials.

6.  We don't have to watch Joe Maddon make like 14 pitching changes in 1 inning.

7.  We don't have to watch Chad Bradford throw like a girl.

8.  Lugo will probably be traded in the off-season.

9.  Cheese steak is still tasty, even if we're not eating it in Philadelphia.

10. I can get some sleep.

Play hard.  Feast harder.

Yes, Pupi, it is disappointing to see the season come to an end. But we'll always remember the Big Comeback in ALCS Game 5, which was as big a thrill we could possibly have after the thrill of snapping the string of futility in 2004. It was a great year - even if we didn't make it to the World Series again.

And I was just about to solve the mystery of who ate that guy's Volcano Taco. A few more airings of that commercial in the World Series would have given me the final clues I needed to wrap up the case. I'm hoping that they will continue that wonderful commercial in the World Series, which I'll watch - even if it won't be as much fun as if the Red Sox were contending.

Thanks for all your creative tidbits - you have done a marvelous job. And thanks to Emmet and the other animals who made this place much more enjoyable than Baseball Fever, where everybody is constantly complaining about everything - even when we're winning mightily.

Eleanor

Hi Pupi -

Thanks for putting a smile on my face, even in a time of disappointment. Given the nation's need (not RSN, but the rest of the nation) for another story like the '69 Mets, I am not completely surprised the Rays pulled through. We know what it is like being the underdog, and the Rays did play the part well. I am only sorry my human won't get to see a World Series game for the first time in her life - maybe she can frame the unusable tickets as souvenirs.

I agree with Eleanor that this is a great place to share thoughts without too much whining or even worse - b!+*#ing. Thanks for making it possible.

And I am definitely looking forward to the sleep!

Feast hard!

Emmet
